Marvin the Mo Mo Monster

 Author's Note - Lukas was a brave kid, wasn't afraid of anything....especially Monsters. That would be Lukas's Christmas miracle to only play with monster for one whole day, but he would have never imagine to lose that monster.


 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 come out, come out where ever you are. Marvin, Marvin come out here. A couple minutes trying to find Marvin my mom shouted “hey Lukas its time to eat.”  “But Mom I can’t find Marvin.” I replied to my mom. Before I knew it I was inside with a nice, steaming hot chocolate. I had no idea what to do, if I couldn’t find him he could starve and die. So instead of my daily plan of watching a movies after I eat I decided to go outside and look for him. I found myself 20min trying to look for him but I decided to give up, because I knew one day that he would come back and find me.

Christmas as a South Pole Elf

  Author's Note:Did you know that one elf could change the whole point of view for Christmas. Well as you start you read this you will figure how fast that could really happen. This poor little elf didn't tell anybody that he was a South Pole until Christmas came and he was giving very little boy and girl coal.


  Call me elf one more time. Just one more time. Before I knew it, I was behind steel bars. As I thought to myself, “did I deserve this I’m a Christmas elf, do people think of me as a South Pole elf or what.” I help Santa make his presents for the good and naughty kids every year, I can’t be held behind steel bars all year long!!” I thought and said out loud to myself. “Ah yes you can, just because you are a Christmas elf doesn’t mean you have the rights to just get away with every thing.” The police officer explained to me, as he was waking up.
    “Well, you know what I’m going to find a way out of here weather you like it your not.” I replied to the police officer. “Hey, I thought you were a Christmas Elf.” I used my special baby powder that made my invisible and I could fit through anything even steel bars. So I decide to take I break for it because the baby powder only last so long. By the time it has worn off I was already in the south pole. “Santa, Santa we have to get into the North Pole we have to, there is no other way beside making all the reindeer sick.

Suffering over a Talent

Author's Note - Have you found your real talent or do you even have one. Han Nolan really wants you to think about this for a minute, do you ever feel like you have no talent. Leshaya has really made her true talent shine. 

“You will never be talented,” Mrs. James said. That’s when the author got me to think, have I found my real talent, or do I even have one?  When the author wrote this story he wanted readers to think a little more than they normally do. What really is your talent? Have you found yourself yet?  Han Nolan, the author of Born Blue, really emphasizes the question that people have to ask themselves have you found out who you really are?

Having a talent that nobody thought possible, being talented that you didn’t know. Leshaya has really tried to find her talent as a singer, but it is harder than you think. Only having one shot to conquer your talent. If I were to be in her shoes I would not be able to conquer my talent in one shot.

So many people these days are looking around to find their real talent. While others are making their talents come alive. Leshaya was able to make her true talent shine. Think about it, she went through her foster parents going to jail and saying that she wasn’t talented but she still stuck with it. 

Being in Leshaya's feet, you would know how bad it feels to to have foster parents that went to jail or parents that said that you weren't talented. Foster parents that went to jail, you have got to be kidding me add on top of that you have parents and other people saying that you weren't talented.

 We can all use Leshaya as an example to our lives when it comes to finding our talents. If you haven't found yourself yet, now is the time too, or if you have found your talent start by making it come alive. Starting with you.
